Heifer and Steer of the Year Award
Each year, two Junior Members are selected for exhibiting the Show Heifer and Show Steer of the Year. The heifer and steer are chosen based on points earned through competition at the National Junior Show, MN Junior Angus Field Day Show, State Fair open show and various Minnesota Junior Shows.

Show Steer of the Year was Cullen Walser, Minnesota Lake, MN. His steer, Blazer 920 was a February 19, 2009 calf sired by GCR Freedom 323R. This steer won championship honors at the 2009 MN Junior Field Day Show. |

Show Heifer of the Year was Alisha Nord, Wolverton, MN. Her Bred and Owned heifer, Nords Foxy Lucy is an April 8. 2008 daughter of Exar Lutton. Alisha's heifer was selected as the Bred & Owned Grand Champion at the 2009 MN Junior Field Day show. |
